Polaris Health Directions provides behavioral health treatment support systems for a variety of public sector and medical populations.
Description: The associate for the public sector will assist the principal investigator on National Institute of Child and Human Development (NICHD) grants in child welfare and domestic violence. The goal of the child welfare and domestic violence projects is to build and implement effective clinical tools that help caseworkers determine mental health needs and strengths; establish effective treatment plans and work collaboratively with interagency partnerships to assess progress. Both projects have as long-term primary goals the development of predictive models to support successful reunification of families and the prevention of revictimization of abuse. We are looking for an organizationally and clinically savvy individual with child-welfare system experience; preferably with interagency experience. In this position you will have the opportunity to integrate research and clinical expertise to impact organizations’ success. Specific Duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Recruitment of performance sites · Coordination of data collection · Conducting basic quantitative data analysis · Compiling literature reviews and other information on service models · Assisting in clinical training of sites · Assisting with development of training content for training case-workers, public agencies and medical personnel · Assisting with report writing · Assisting with research and customer site visits · Assisting with presentation project results; and · Performing other duties as assigned .
Qualifications = Basic Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human development, or child development · Experience working with child welfare and/or domestic violence agencies or other related case work experience Knowledge and Skill · Sound judgment and sensitivity in working with community-based collaborations and program participants · Self-directed, creative and resilient in problem solving · Basic knowledge of public sector strength-based programs and national initiatives · Knowledge of Microsoft office programs · Knowledge of SPSS preferred · Strong interpersonal skills · Proven track record of meeting deadlines This position will be located in our Fairless Hills, PA office.
