Park Naturalist

Monmnouth County Park System

Created in 1960, the Monmouth County Park System has more than 30 parks, forests, gardens, wetland/marine habitats, golf courses, historic sites, recreation areas, and conservation properties totaling over 14,000 acres.  We are Monmouth County's Open Space, Parks and Recreation Agency.

Position_Description = The Monmouth County Park System, with over 14,000 acres of open space, seeks a creative individual to plan and lead interpretive nature classes, tours, camps, and group programs for all ages.  The agency’s parks feature rich habitat diversity including rivers, beaches, reservoir, woodlands, meadows and trails. Facilities include two environmental centers, visitor centers and trails.

Qualifications = Education: Bachelor's degree in the Natural Sciences, Forestry, Conservation, Natural Resources Management, Agriculture, or Park Management.  Experience (preferred): Interpreting natural sciences to the general public and school age children.   License: Valid New Jersey driver’s license   Residency: Monmouth County 

Hours = Full-time
Salary = $36,500.00 with benefits
