Description = Currently, our Princeton, New Jersey location is seeking candidates for the following position. Systems Administrator The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Unix computing environment supporting high-performance computing systems and laboratory devices. The candidate must have proven mastery of Unix system administration as this position requires technical independence. Core skills include: O/S maintenance; installation and updating of third-party software; development of shell and CGI scripts; troubleshooting; hardware maintenance; backup & recovery; purge & archive; job queue configuration; security. The Systems Administrator must be customer focused, as they will play an important role in an integrated team. The incumbent should have excellent skills in the following areas: organization, customer relations, vendor relations, documentation, and multi-tasking. Candidates with a background in Cheminformatics and/or high performance computing (HPC) are highly preferred. Oracle Database Administration experience is a plus. Qualifications = B.S. or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Chemistry, or Engineering 4 years as a Unix/Linux system administrator 3 years in a scientific organization, preferably chemistry or materials engineering 2 years experience working with grid computing or job queuing (e.g. PVM,SGE) Good communication skills
