Description = We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Assistant. In this role, you will be part of our growing HR team in our Princeton, NJ office location. We provide generous paid time off and an on-site fitness center. **We are accepting applications now for the position which will start in September 2008** Duties of the Position: - Part of a two person team responsible for day-to-day Human Resources administrative functions and record keeping in a busy, multi-location HR department - Assists with the government project security clearance and background check process - Responds to employment verifications - Makes preparations for recruitment visits to academic institutions and recruitment events - Coordinates and prepares interview schedules and travel arrangements for qualified applicants - Maintains EEO/AA data on recruiting and hiring - Prepares travel arrangements for employees in the HR department - Organizes social, morale-building events - Maintains consultant agreements - Handles departmental support tasks such as filing, answering phone, and opening and sorting departmental mail.
Qualifications: - Pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS degree from an accredited college or university in human resource management or other related field with relevant course work in human resource administration, business, or counseling - A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for the above requirements. - Possess strong organizational and communication (written and oral) skills - Ability to deal diplomatically with staff at all levels - Working knowledge of principles and practices of human resource administration, including methods used in recruitment and selection, program development, EEO/AA issues, and applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and policies - Accuracy with work, strong organizational skill, and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with others - Flexibility to handle multiple priorities, sometimes simultaneously, u!
