myphl17 (WPHL-TV) is seeking a Senior Promotion Writer/Producer for the Creative Services Department.  The successful candidate will be a strong writer with 2 year broadcast production and/ or promotion experience who works well with others. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• All phases of promotion production including, writing, shooting and editing
• Producing client-based commercial and promotional spots
• Creating effective news and entertainment promotional spots
• Assisting in maintaining a high quality on-air presence
• Planning, trafficking and database management of promotional spots on daily logs
• Assisting with web related content
• May be asked to assist with long form of production of sales driven specials and/or shows

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, minimum 2 years non linear editing experience, proven advertising and.or promotional writing expertise, strong marketing instincts, and a keen eye for graphic design.  Ability to juggle various tasks simultaneously and attentiveness to details is essential.  2-3 years of broadcast television or cable experience preferred.  Knowledge of HTML, Flash and/or Java script software a plus.
