A rare opportunity to work on beautiful Mt. Desert Island near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.  The Acadia Institute of Oceanography seeks teaching staff to work as a team with our bright 10-19 year olds.  One-week and two-week programs.  Teach at the shore, on board and in the lab working closely with other staff members to implement lessons.  Hiking, whale watching and working with great kids and staff are the perks of the job.

Lead academic and recreational activities; must be able to drive to learn to drive a 15-passenger van which requires valid, clean driver's license; participating in support duties such as dishes, clean up, etc.  Housing will alternative between dorm and students and room with other staff.

Bachelor's degree and/or Master's in science related field and work with children necessary.  Field research a plus.  Flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.  Season runs from June 15-August 22 with some flexibility for start and finish date.  $340 per week plus room and board.
