• Capital Academy is a residential facility located in Camden, NJ providing behavioral and clinical treatment for young men between the ages of 14-18 with emotional and behavioral disorders.  This is an entry-level position that provides opportunities for professional development in the areas of applied behavior analysis, human services and working with children that have emotional and behavioral disorders
Responsibilities
• Is responsible for teaching students functional living, socialization, recreation, leisure, and communication skills.
• The Residential Counselor participates as a critical member of an interdisciplinary team (consists of clinicians, nurses, and group living supervisors) and provides the direct services for children with emotional and behavior disorders.  Provides behavior analytic treatment services with the supervision and assistance of seasoned clinicians.  Develops goals and programs that are appropriate to the ages and functionality of populations served
Requirements
• Team oriented, athletic, strong individuals
• Bachelor Degree preferred in similar field, but not required
• Valid Driver’s License, clear a criminal background check, clear a child abuse record background check and pass a urine drug screening.
• 3pm to 11pm shift or 11pm to 7am both including weekends
