Each residence hall floor has its own RA and it will soon become apparent that he/she has many roles. An RA is there to listen, mediate roommate or floor concerns, facilitate programming, refer students to the appropriate offices when they have special concerns and/or to report violations of residence hall rules. One additional responsibility of each RA is to conduct floor meetings throughout the semester. Floor meetings are mandatory and it is each student’s responsibility to attend them, as pertinent information will be addressed at these meetings. RAs serve as a very important resource and provide leadership and guidance in establishing a hall community. Do not hesitate to go to an RA with any questions, problems or concerns.
On Call
A Resident Advisor is on call each night from 7 pm - 7 am to assist the community with lock outs and community issues. RAs also have office hours in Seabrook 101 every night from 7 - 9 pm if students need assistance.
Calendars with the on call calendar and phone number are posted outside of each RA room door.
