Spring Registration & Program Information

We are now accepting registrations for our Spring 2008 Instructional and Assessment Programs.

Instructional Program
The Instructional Program is scheduled one day a week, after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.  Reading comprehension and writing are the primary skills developed.  Independence skills, organizational skills, spelling, phonics, and self-esteem are also a focus.  Your child’s performance will be shared in a final conference.  You will receive a written report of the findings, including recommendations for continued instruction.  Children attend 10 sessions from 4:00pm until 6:00pm beginning the week of February 19th and ending the week of April 29th.  Our teachers prepare instruction to meet each child’s needs.  Enrollment is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please list your first and second day choices on the registration form.

If this is the first time your youngster is attending or if he/she has not enrolled during the summer or fall 2007 session, a cursory screening is necessary.  This session will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 4:00pm until 6:15pm.  We will use forma and informal assessment to determine appropriate instructional procedures for your child.  The Instructional Program tuition is $440.  The cursory screening is $60.  A $240 non-refundable deposit ( $180 if a cursory screening is not necessary) is required to secure a place in the program.

Assessment Program
We are again scheduled for our Assessment Program which is offered only during the spring semester.  This program is designed to asses your child’s literacy abilities in reading and writing.  Instruction is part of the assessment program so we can determine how your child learns.  As we work with your child, we will learn which strategies are most successful for his/her success with reading and writing.

Your child’s performance will be shared in a final conference.  You will receive a written report of the findings, including recommendations for instruction.

The eight sessions begin the week of February 26th and end the week of April 22nd. Your child will attend once a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Enrollment is limited.  Reserve a place for your child by completing the registration form and mailing it to our office as soon as possible.  The Assessment Program tuition is $440.  If you have any questions, please call our office.

Inquire about dual enrollment for your child in both programs.
