Community Service
“We recognize that leadership is derived from service to others”
-A Rider University Community Value
At Rider University we do recognize that leadership is derived from service to others. We believe that when you go out of your way to help someone less fortunate, then you have also helped yourself. In going out into the community and leaving the safety of your comfort zone you are giving yourself the opportunity to learn. Learn about people who may have lived lives completely different from your own and more importantly, about ideas that are bigger than yourself. To have gotten involved is to have made an impact, made your mark. Proof that your college experience was more than just about what grades you earned or who your friends were, it was about changing the very world in which we live. The students at Rider University are the leaders of tomorrow, but why wait? Let’s be the leaders that we know we are TODAY.
