Emergency Services

The Rider University Counseling Center office is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, except for major holidays. However, we are committed to helping Rider students in crisis 24 hours a day. In the event of an emergency, Rider Counseling Center professional staff is on-call twenty-four hours daily and can be reached via Public Safety by calling (609) 896-7777.

If you are experiencing any of the following...

  • thoughts of hurting yourself/suicidal thoughts
  • thoughts of hurting other people
  • have not eaten in a few days (not due to illness)
  • have not slept in a few days (not due to illness)
  • you have attempted suicide and need immediate medical attention, please call 911.
