Office of Greek Life

Mission Statement
Fraternities and sororities, rich with traditions, pride, a sense of community make tremendous contributions in the college communities in which they are a part.

The Office of Greek Life at Rider University believes in the benefits of fraternities and sororities and promotes a positive environment for these organizations to assist in the development of men’s and women’s intellect, values, leadership, relationships, and citizenship.

The Office of Greek Life provides programs and services that enhance the academic experience, promote responsibility, teach transferable skills, and provide direction for each Greek organization in order to assist those groups to achieve high standards in all that they do.

Goals
The Office of Greek Life has worked with chapter and council presidents, house managers and various other community members to develop goals to guide us throughout the years in developing action plans for improving our Greek Community.  We have goals related to seven focus areas of Greek Life.  Each year, we conduct a review of our goals and action plan to see what we have accomplished and determine how to proceed.

  • Programs & Services
    The Office of Greek Life works with the Greek Organizations to provide social, service, leadership, and educational programs to aid in the personal development of student who join fraternities and sororities. For detailed information, check out the Programs and Services page.

  • House Management
    Rider is proud to be able to offer many types of theme housing on campus for our students. Many of the Fraternities and Sororities have the privilege of being housed on Fraternity and Sorority Row at the west end of campus. For detailed information on the benefits, services and structure of this housing, check out the House Management page.

  • Parents Information
    As a parent, you may have a great deal of questions and concerns about your son or daughter’s desire to join a Fraternity or Sorority. The Office of Greek Life understands that you have probably seen and hear a lot of things to make you doubt the benefits of membership. We are happy to discuss our organizations with you at anytime if you contact us directly. Additionally, we have provided some specific information that may assist you with your common concerns.

    Fraternity and Sorority Membership is not just for your college years but for a lifetime. As Alumni, we encourage graduates to stay connected and involved in whatever way they can.   • Office of Greek Life Calendar
    Each semester the Office of Greek Life publishes a calendar that is used specifically for members of the community. It lists all of our meetings, events and activities.
