• Present
  The Emerging Leaders Program is open to all new students who have an interest in getting involved and developing their leadership skills. Whether you were involved as a high-school leader or you now have an interest, you are encouraged to participate. This program will assist new students to connect with other students and link you to involvement opportunities throughout the campus. You'll be introduced to leadership basics and receive important advice that will help guide you during your first year at Rider.  Rider's Emerging Leaders get a chance to be involved in some of Rider's greatest traditions; like the opening of the college basketball season (Midnight MAACness), Rider's birthday (University Day), and events planned by the Student Entertainment Council.  Last year over 100 students took advantage of the Emerging Leaders opportunity to get connected to the Rider Community.
   
• Past
  Established by the Leadership Development Board, the Emerging Leaders Program has produced some of the major leaders on the Rider campus. The Board is comprised of professional staff and students that meet regularly to plan and implement leadership development initiatives throughout the year. Over the years, the Emerging Leaders Program has produced some of the major leaders on campus, such as student Government leaders, Resident Advisers, Student Center managers and Greek leaders. Nearly everywhere you look, students who started their Rider experience as an Emerging Leader have made a significant impact in the Rider community as well as in the job marketplace.
   
• Future
  Starting Fall Semester 2009, the Office of Campus Life will be debuting a new version of the Emerging Leaders Program.  The new section of the program will focus on teaching first year students leadership skills and connecting freshmen to the Rider Community via outdoor recreation and sports programs.  This new Emerging Leader Section is geared towards the new student who enjoys recreation, athletics, and fitness.
