Meeting Minutes

11/4/08
This week in Senate, we heard a report from Financial Aid and Athletics. Drew Aromando, acting Director of Financial Services, gave a presentation to the Senate on how current economic conditions have affected the amount of money that students receive. Mr. Aromando made it explicitly clear that financial aid has not been affected by the economy at all. The biggest impact is on students and families. He encourages all students who may have unexpected financial difficulties to consult a Financial Aid counselor. Karin Torchia, Men's Basketball Coach Tom Dempsey, and Associate Head Coach of the Wrestling team came in to give the Senate a preview of the winter sports season. All of the Rider Broncs teams are pumped up and ready for a great season. Men's Basketball begins this Saturday, Nov 8.
