Rider at U.S. Open – Day Two

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.—Two Bronc relays and senior Brandon Modrov competed for Rider on day two of the U.S. Swimming Championships, hosted by Purdue University Friday afternoon.

In the women’s 400 meter medley relay, senior Lauren Urbanski (Lansdowne, Pa./Upper Darby), senior Courtney Clark (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), sophomore Priscilla Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) and freshman Kellyanne Tomasula (Sussex, N.J./Vernon Township) placed 28th with a time of 4:36.11, finishing ahead of UConn and Florida Atlantic.

The men’s 400 meter medley relay of senior Brandon Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge), senior Andy French (Richfield, Minn./Richfield Senior), junior Peter Starr (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area Senior) and freshman Scott Player (Chino Hills, Calif./Ruben S. Ayala) finished 29th with a time of 4:10.24.

Brandon Modrov, the 2006 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year, was disqualified in the men’s 400 meter IM due to a false start.

Competition concludes on Saturday with Rider competing in the men’s and women’s 400 meter free relay, the women’s 200 meter breast and 200 meter fly.
