“Kevin has been a very welcome addition to our coaching staff,” said head coach Tommy Dempsey. “He is an experienced college basketball coach. He has done a great job helping to develope our post players and has been a horse for us on the recruiting trails. His experiences in this business on and off the court have been invaluable to me as a young head coach."

Baggett has also served as an assistant coach at James Madison, Howard, Western Kentucky and Coastal Carolina.

The former St. Joseph’s University player and standout performer at the scholastic level in New Jersey hails from Burlington and has coached at Cinnaminson High School. He was a member of the Hawks’ 1985-86 team that compiled a 26-6 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He received his bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in sociology from St. Joseph’s in June, 1989.

“I am excited to be back at home here in New Jersey,” said Baggett, “and having an opportunity to work with Tommy and his staff here at Rider University. I am looking forward to wonderful times to come in the near future under Tommy’s tutelage.”
