March 4, 2007 - Four Broncs All-East Honors at IC4A/ECAC

Several members of the Rider indoor track and field teams competed at the IC4A’s and ECAC’s hosted by Boston University this past weekend with four Broncs coming home with All-East honors.  “This has probably been the best indoor season in Rider history,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  “A conference championship on the women’s side and five All-East performances at IC4A’s/ECAC’s. This has been a really special year for the program.”

March 4, 2007 - at ECAC's - Fenlator All-East Honors

Senior Jazmine Fenlator of the Rider women’s track and field team competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships Sunday and was awarded All-East honors in the weight throw with a sixth place finishing distance of  53’8.50”.  “This has probably been the best indoor season in Rider history,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  “A conference championship and three All-East performances at ECAC’s, this has been a really special year for the program.”

Several members of the Rider women’s indoor track and field teams are competing at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Boston University this weekend.  “For two student-athletes to get All-East honors on the same day is a real step up in recognition for our program,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.

February 23, 2007 - Rider at NYU Fast Track Invitational

Several members of the Rider University indoor track & field teams took part in the NYU Fast Track Invitational Friday night.  For the Rider women, senior Katie O’Connor (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) placed second in the high jump (5’5”).  For the Rider men, junior Andre Fearon (Newark, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) placed fourth in the 800 (1:52.69).

February 16, 2007 - Women Win MAAC Championship / Men 2nd

Good things come to those who wait.  After ten consecutive runner-up finishes, the Rider women’s team won its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Championship, and the Rider men placed runner-up for the 10th time in 11 years.  “It feels great,” said head coach and women’s conference coach of the year Rob Pasquariello.  “To defeat such a quality program such as Manhattan makes the victory all the sweeter.”.

February 16, 2007 - 17 Broncs MAAC All-Academic

17 members of the Rider University indoor track & field teams were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic team at the MAAC Championships Friday night.  "We want to win but we want to win the right way," said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  "Being strong in the classroom is part of it and academics comes first with us."
February 9, 2007 - Rider/Lafayette Winter Games

The Broncs co-hosted the Lafayette/Rider Winter Games at the 168th Street Armory Friday night.  “It went really well,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  It’s always a little bit of a weird meet in the respect that the conference championships are next week so they are trying their best to succeed but also trying not to get hurt in the process.”

February 6, 2007 - Fenlator Honored by the MAAC

Jazmine Fenlator, a senior on the Rider University indoor track & field team, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performer of the Week for all competition January 30-February 5.  "From where we have come six years ago when I started at Rider to where we are now is like night and day," said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  "And Jazmine has been a key part of the success that we have been able to accomplish."
February 3, 2007 - Rider at New Balance Collegiate Invitational

The Broncs competed in the seventh annual New Balance Invitational this weekend at the New York City Armory.  “The women’s team came out with a really good focus and competed well,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.

February 2, 2007 - Rider at New Balance Collegiate Invitational

The Broncs are competing in the seventh annual New Balance Invitational Friday and Saturday at the New York City Armory. “Overall, things went pretty well,” said Rider head coach Rob Pasquariello.  “We had two big highlights with the men’s DMR and the women’s shot put breaking records.”

January 26, 2007 - at Boston Terrier Invitational

Twenty days away.  That’s the time from today until the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships.  It’s ‘go time’ if you will.  And the Rider women’s track team is taking the steps to be ready.  “I told the team last week that it’s going to be the little things that make the difference,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  “It’s not only performing in your event, it is preparing to perform and the team put in the effort and did well tonight.”

Randy Nixon and Kelly Kajunski of the Rider University indoor track & field teams were named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performers of the Week for all competition January 16-22.

January 19, 2007 - Rider at Great Dane Classic

The Broncs competed at the Great Dane Classic Friday night, hosted by the University at Albany at the 168th Street Armory. “This was another step up in competition from last week, and the teams really responded,” said Rider head coach Rob Pasquariello.

January 16, 2007 - Fenlator Honored by the MAAC

Rider senior Jazmine Fenlator of the women’s track and field team was honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference as the Female Performer of the Week for all competition January 8-14.  “Jazmine was the number one collegiate finisher in the shot put at Penn State,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  “The only competitor that beat her was a former All-American.” 

January 13, 2007 - at Penn State Relays

The Broncs competed at the Penn State Relays Saturday, breaking five team records. “Both the men and women performed very well,” said Rider head coach Rob Pasquariello. “There was good competition in a nice facility, and we had a real team effort. We really competed hard.”

January 3, 2007 - Fenlator December Athlete of the Month

Jazmine Fenlator of the indoor track & field team, and Doug Umbehauer of the wrestling team, have been named the Rider University Athletes of the Month for all competition in December.

December 8, 2006 - Rider at Fordham’s Christmas/Princeton’s New Year’s Invitationals

The Broncs began the indoor season with half of the team in the Bronx, at the Christmas Invitational at Fordham, and the rest at Princeton at the New Year’s Invitational. “This was a really good start to the indoor season,” said Rider head coach Rob Pasquariello.

Rider Athletics Helping Feed the Hungry During Thanksgiving

As part of the MAAC Gives Back and The Rider Athletics Partners in a Caring Community Program, Rider Athletics and eight of the varsity teams assisted the Rider University's Center for Multicultural Affairs and Community Service by donating food during the 2006 annual drive.

Athletics - Holck (Baseball) / Carter (Track) Attend NCAA Life Skills Seminar

Senior Erik Holck (Readington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) of the baseball team and junior Jarnae Carter (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) of the women’s track & field team were selected to represent Rider University at the NCAA Regional Leadership Conference in Jersey City October 20-22.
