Rider’s Korn MAAC Diver of Week

LAWRENCEVILLE—Dylan Korn, a junior diver on the Rider University swimming & diving team, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Diver of the Week for all competition October 23-29. “That’s good news,” said Rider head coach Steve Fletcher.

Korn (Hawthorne, N.Y./Westlake) placed second in both the one-meter dive (276.40) and the three-meter dive (277.85) against Rutgers and Seton Hall. “By diving against Big East competition this weekend he was able to improve his game,” said Fletcher.  “That is probably why he scored as well as he did.”

Last year Korn was named the MAAC Most Outstanding Diver, winning both the one-meter and the three-meter dives at the MAAC Championships.

“Dylan is arguably one of the most successful divers in Rider history with his placement in the zone meet last year,” said Fletcher. “We never had a finalist at the zone meet before place that high. He’s very talented and we’re excited because he is still improving.”

The swimming & diving team competes at Marist Saturday.
