Rider Announces 2006-07 Schedule
LAWRENCEVILLE—The 2006-2007 Rider University women’s basketball schedule features two teams who competed in the NCAA tournament last year, one game on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Television Network and a game at the Sovereign Bank Arena.
The schedule begins in Rider’s Alumni Gym on Sunday November 12 when the Broncs host Rice.
The non-conference portion of the schedule features road games at Monmouth, Hofstra, Princeton, Towson and Army and home games against Penn, La Salle and UMBC. The Broncs will also participate in the Wagner Christmas Invitational against the host Seahawks and St. Bonaventure and Cornell.
“I like our schedule,” said head coach Tori Harrison. “I think it is very doable. Nothing way over our heads, but very competitive. If we come into the season prepared, mentally as well as physically, we should be competitive in every game.”
Rider opens the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule at Saint Peter’s on December 8 and opens the home portion of the conference schedule against Canisius on January 6.
The Broncs are scheduled to play Saint Peter’s at Sovereign Bank Arena on January 27 and will appear on the MAAC Television Network at Loyola on February 11.
