Rider’s Riverso Preseason All-MAAC

LAWRENCEVILLE—Dan Riverso, a senior goalkeeper on the 2006 Rider University men’s soccer team, was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Team in a poll voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches.

As a team, Rider was picked to finish seventh in the 10-team league.  Fairfield was picked to win the MAAC.

Riverso (Wiliamstown) was a Second Team All-MAAC selection last season, leading the conference with 113 saves while finishing second in the MAAC with four shutouts.

Riverso started 18 games last year and was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for all games played the final week of October.

Rider begins the 2006 soccer season August 25 with a home game against the University of Richmond.
