Cullen MAAC Player of Week

LAWRENCEVILLE—Senior Jen Cullen of the Rider University softball team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week for all games played the last week of April.

Cullen (Lake Hopatcong/Immaculata) batted .517 last week with 15 hits, seven runs batted in and six runs scored in seven games. Cullen had two RBI in a 3-0 MAAC win over Siena, and hit a home run in a 3-1 win over Siena to give Rider an 8-6 MAAC record.  Cullen also hit a home run in a MAAC win over Iona.

Rider began the MAAC season 2-6 before winning its last six conference games to keep its playoff hopes alive. Rider completes the MAAC schedule Tuesday with a doubleheader at Fairfield.
