PHILADELPHIA, PA—The Broncs came home with a second place medal at the 112th Penn Relay Carnival, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. “Our women got a fifth place medal in the high jump Thursday, and now our men got a second place medal on Saturday,” said coach Rob Pasquariello. “Any time you can bring medals home from the Penn Relays you have to be happy.”
The men’s 4 x 100 relay of freshman Desmond Hamilton (Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken), senior Jamaal Harris (Beverly, N.J./Palmyra), junior David Payne (Neptune) and senior Jay Hill (Matawan, N.J./St. John Vianney) ran a 41.31 to place second overall in the IC4A finals. “That’s a really nice accomplishment,” said coach Rob Pasquariello.
The men’s 4 x 800 relay team of senior Ayotunde Owodunni (Sicklerville, N.J./Highland Regional), sophomore Jeff Stead (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury), sophomore Andre Fearon (Newark, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) and freshman Matt Dahl (West Keansburg/Raritan) placed 23rd overall (7:47.90).
