MAAC Honors Rider’s Beck, Fenlator

LAWRENCEVILLE—Two members of the Rider University track & field team, juniors Doug Beck and Jazmine Fenlator, have been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week.

Beck (Branchburg/Somerville) threw the discus an NCAA Regional qualifying distance of 51.97m to win the event at the recent Rider Quad Meet with Delaware, Sacred Heart and Saint Peter’s.  Beck is the Rider record holder in the discus.

Fenlator (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) broke her own Rider record in the hammer with a first place toss of 49.34m, and threw the discus an NCAA Regional qualifying distance of 48.02 to win that event. Fenlator also won the shot put with an ECAC qualifying toss of 14.29m.

The Rider track & field team will compete at Monmouth this weekend.
