JERSEY CITY—The Broncs lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match to Manhattan Saturday, held indoors at Saint Peter’s College. “Manhattan is the two-time defending MAAC Champion, and they’ve been beating everyone like this,” said Rider head coach Ed Torres.

Senior Chris Stanco (Downingtown, PA) enjoyed a good day in defeat for Rider. “Manhattan has a new number one player,” said Torres. “Their number two player was the best number one player in the MAAC last year, and today Chris gave him a great match. Chris played very well today.”

The Rider men and women play at MAAC match at Fairfield Sunday. “Playing a tough team like Manhattan today should prepare us to play well against Fairfield tomorrow,” Torres said.
