Rider 5th of 23 at Towson Invitational
CRISFIELD, MD—The Broncs shot a 294 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 584, good for fifth place at the 23-team Drew Upton Memorial Towson Golf Classic, hosted by Towson University. Rider shot a 290 on Saturday.
For the Broncs, sophomore Dylan Maxey (Montrose, PA/Montrose Area) shot a 69 on Sunday on the par 72 Great Hope Golf Course, with seven birdies. Maxey finished with a two-day total of 143, good for seventh place among the 115 golfers. “Maxey was on fire today,” said Rider head coach Chet Dalgewitz. “His putting was great today. That was his best collegiate round ever.”
Sophomore Josh Krumholz (Reading, PA/Gov. Mifflin) shot a 73 on both Saturday and Sunday to finish with a 146.
Sophomore Tyler Brewington (Orangeville, Pa./Benton) shot a 71 on Saturday but shot a 76 on Sunday for a total of 147.
Senior Jonathan Kent (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) had a 72 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday for a 150.
Senior Brad Domenico (Colts Neck, N.J./Colts Neck) shot a 76 on both days for a 152 total.
Richmond won the tournament with a 576, followed by Western Kentucky (581), Liberty (582), and William & Mary (583).
The Broncs compete at the Princeton Invitational April 8-9.
