LAWRENCEVILLE—The Broncs swept Holy Cross Saturday to even their spring record at 1-1. “The match yesterday (Temple) really helped us,” said Rider head coach Ed Torres. “It tuned us up, and today we played much better.”
Freshman Casey Jedlinski (Manalapan) trailed in both sets before coming back to win tie-breakers. “Casey was the star of the day,” said Torres. “He faced what looked to be their best player and had two nice come backs.”
Junior Ragdee Saberon (Berlin, NJ/Overbrook) won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles for Rider. “Ragdee won easily,” said Torres. “As a whole we played much better today,” said Torres. “Everyone was hitting the ball well, and all the guys were satisfied with the way they played today.”
The Broncs host Fordham Tuesday.
