LAWRENCEVILLE-The Broncs began the spring season with a loss to Temple Friday. "For our first match of the spring we played very well against a very good team," said Rider head coach Ed Torres.
For the Broncs, only freshman Casey Jedlinski (Manalapan) won a set. "Casey played well," said Torres. "He got off to a great start, winning 6-4."
Junior Ragdee Saberon (Berlin, NJ/Overbrook) played first singles for Rider. "Ragdee played well today, against a good player," Torres said.
Rider hosts Holy Cross on Saturday at 11am. "Temple is one of the best teams we play all year, fall or spring," said Torres. "They just got back from their Florida trip, so they’ve played quite a few matches. The recently beat Richmond, and Richmond won the Atlantic 10 last year."
