Rider at ECAC Championships-Day Two
Women 4th of 22, Men 5th of 18
PITTSBURGH, PA—The Broncs are competing at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
For the Rider men, senior Dan Burgess (Greeley, Colo./Union Colony Prep) won the 200 free in 1:40.87, and the men’s 200 medley relay team of sophomore Peter Starr (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area Senior), junior Brandon Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge), Burgess and junior Eric McFerin (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) won in a time of 1:33.28.
Freshman Josh Rosenbluth (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) placed second in the 100 backstroke (51.68).
For the Rider women, freshman Priscilla Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) finished second in the 200 free (1:53.10) and third in the 400 IM (4:32.10).
The women’s 800 free relay team of junior Courtney Clark (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), sophomore Stephanie Cosentino (Staten Island, N.Y./Notre Dame Academy), freshman Kelsey Tokar (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) and sophomore Becky Sanbower (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) placed sixth (7:59.01) and the 200 medley relay team of freshman Ericka Kriedel (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield), senior Kristen Enoch (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland), junior Ryan Mitten (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) and Modrov placed seventh (1:51.47).
The men’s 800 free relay
team of Rosenbluth, junior Andy French (Richfield, Minn./Richfield Senior), senior Trevor Vernal (Milford, Conn./Notre Dame) and Burgess placed sixth (6:58.51).Kriedel also placed sixth in the 100 back (1:00.28), Enoch placed seventh in the 100 breast (1:09.14), Cosentino placed 11th in the 200 free (1:56.93), Mitten placed 11th in the 100 butterfly (59.87) and junior Adrianne Glasgow (Davidsonville, Md./Saint Mary's) was 14th in the 400 IM (4:46.10).
Competition continues Sunday.
