Rider at ECAC Championships-Day One

Women 4th of 16, Men 6th of 15

            PITTSBURGH, PA—The Broncs are competing at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.

For the Rider men, senior Dan Burgess (Greeley, Colo./Union Colony Prep) placed second in the 50 free (20.81) and senior Chris Coles (Plainsboro, N.J./WW-P North) placed third in the 3-meter dive (259.05).

            For the Rider women, freshman Priscilla Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge)  placed third in the 200 individual medley (2:07.88). Junior Courtney Clark (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) placed fourth in the 500 free (5:06.42), junior Shannen Kahler (Ojai, Calif./Chaparral/Grossmont CC) placed fifth in the 3-meter dive (208.60) and sophomore Stephanie Cosentino (Staten Island, N.Y./Notre Dame Academy) placed 14th 50 free (25.03).

The women’s 200 free relay team of Cosentino, freshman Ericka Kriedel (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield), senior Rose Brenner (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) and Modrov  placed fourth (1:39.77). The 400 medley relay team of freshman Ericka Kriedel (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield), senior Kristen Enoch (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland), junior Lauren Urbanski (Lansdowne, Pa./Upper Darby) and Modrov placed sixth (4:05.7).

 

The men’s 400 free relay team of Dan Burgess, junior Brandon Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge), sophomore Peter Starr (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area Senior) and junior Eric McFerin (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) placed fourth (1:24.31) and the 200 medley relay placed fourth.

McFerin placed fifth in the 50 free (21.35), sophomore Dylan Korn (Hawthorne, N.Y./Westlake) placed seventh (229.85) in the 3-meter dive, freshman Josh Rosenbluth (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) placed 10th in the 200 IM (1:54.5), and junior Andy French (Richfield, Minn./Richfield Senior) placed 15th in the 500 free (4:43.41).
