12 Broncs Honored by MAAC for Academics
LAWRENCEVILLE—A dozen members of the Rider University indoor track & field teams were honored for their high grade point averages by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
From the men’s team, which placed runner-up in the recent MAAC Championships, junior Doug Beck (Branchburg), sophomore Randy Nixon (Manorville, NY) and junior David Payne (Neptune) were honored.
From the women’s team, which recently placed runner-up at the MAAC Championships, junior Allyson Angelo (Brick), junior Katie Chin (Jackson), sophomores Elizabeth and Rebecca Clatch (Drums, PA), senior Krystle Daniels (Brooklyn, NY), junior Jazmine Fenlator (Wayne), sophomore Savannah Knox (Jackson), sophomore Jessica Marcasciano (Egg Harbor) and senior Ashley Miller (Lebanon, PA) were honored.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve, and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2.
