Rider’s O’Connor MAAC Performer of Week

            LAWRENCEVILLE—Katie O’Connor, a junior on the Rider University track & field team, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference female Performer of the Week, for all competition January 31-February 6.

            At the Mercer Duals, O’Connor (Forked River/Lacey Twp.) tied the Rider record and qualified for the ECAC Championships in the high jump (5’7”), and also placed second in the 55m hurdles (8.69).

            O’Connor currently has the second best high jump in the MAAC this indoor season, and the third best time in the hurdles.

            Rider competes with Lafayette at the 168^th Street Armory in New York City Friday.
