Jazmine Fenlator, a junior from Wayne, NJ, and Brandon Modrov, a junior from Smithtown, NY, have been named the Rider University Athletes of the Year for the 2005-2006 academic year.

June 6, 2006 - Rider Places Three on MAAC Top 25 Performers including Track's Fenlator

Three Rider University athletes have been selected by fans as being among the Top 25 Performers in the 25-year history of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

May 27, 2006 - Fenlator at NCAA Regional

Junior Jazmine Fenlator (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) placed second in her flight and 13th overall in the discus at the NCAA Regional Track & Field Championships, hosted by North Carolina A & T.  “Things just didn’t click for Jaz today,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello.

Junior Jazmine Fenlator (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) placed seventh in her flight and 20th overall in the shot put Friday at the NCAA Regional Track & Field Championships, hosted by North Carolina A & T.

May 14, 2006 - Rider at Eastern Championships

The Rider University track & field teams competed in the Eastern Championships this weekend, the women in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, and the men in the In the ICAAAA Championships. “We had a great day today,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello.

May 12, 2006 - Rider’s Fenlator All-East at ECACs

Rider University junior Jazmine Fenlator (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) threw the discus 47.02m to place fifth and earn All-East honors at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships Friday, held at Princeton University. “Jazmine really did a great job today,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello.

Nine members of the Rider University women’s outdoor track & field team and four members of the men’s team were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic team.

May 7, 2006 - Women 2nd / Men 2nd - MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Both the women’s and men’s outdoor track and field teams placed second to Manhattan in the 2006 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Rider this weekend.  “I’m not disappointed in our performance at all,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.  “But, I am disappointed that we finished second again.  For the men’s team, this is as close (11 points) as we have ever been.”

May 6, 2006 - Women 1st / Men 2nd after Day One - MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

The Rider women lead the pack and the men are currently second after the first day of the two-day Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Rider.  The majority of the events take place Sunday. “Today went very well,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello.  “On the women’s side, it is always nice to be leading after the first day, and on the men’s side, this is the closest we’ve ever been to Manhattan after the first day.”

Jazmine Fenlator, a junior on the Rider University track & field team, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performer of the Week for all competition the last week of April.

The Rider University men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams competed at the 23rd annual Lions’ Invitational, hosted by The College of New Jersey Saturday.

April 28, 2006 - at Penn Relays - Day Two

Two of the Rider University relay teams have qualified to compete Saturday in the IC4A Finals at the 112th Penn Relay Carnival, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. “Both of the relays that qualified made some mistakes today and still ran great times,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello. “They both have a chance to run really fast times tomorrow without the mistakes.”

April 27, 2006 - Rider at Penn Relays - Day One

Several members of the Rider University women’s track & field team competed in the Penn Relays Thursday. “Overall it was a good day,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello. “On this kind of stage, in this atmosphere it can be a little intimidating, but we competed well today.”

Two members of the Rider University track & field team, juniors Doug Beck and Jazmine Fenlator, have been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week.

April 15, 2006 - Rider wins Quad Meet

On a sun drenched afternoon, both the Rider University men’s and women’s track & field teams placed first against Sacred Heart University, the University of Delaware and Saint Peter’s College Saturday in the Rider Quad Meet. “We knew coming in today it was going to be nice weather, so we wanted to take advantage of that, and I’m proud of the way we did that,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello.  “I’m happy with the way we competed. This was a fantastic win for our women’s team, beating solid programs like Sacred Heart and Delaware. This was a great day all around.”

Jazmine Fenlator of the track & field team, and Mike Poalise of the baseball team, have been named the Rider University Athletes of the Month for all competition in March.

April 1, 2006 - 3rd of 6 - Lafayette Invitational

Track athletes are used to competing in all types of weather.  Just not all during one meet.  Rider University hosted the Lafayette Invitational on Saturday in conditions that went from sunny and 75 to sideways rain and 55 and back again.  Throw in a 40 mile per hour wind and well, you have an outdoor collegiate track meet.

March 25, 2006 - Rider at Monmouth Invitational

The Broncs began the outdoor season at the Monmouth Invitational Saturday. “Considering the weather and being the first time out, overall is was a very good day,” said Rider coach Rob Pasquariello. “We had a lot of good performances.”
