BLOOMSBURG, PA-The Broncs won four bouts, losing at Bloomsburg Saturday. Rider lost one bout by just one point, and another in overtime.

Bloomsburg recently defeated 20th ranked Pittsburgh, and is now 6-4 on the season. The Broncs fall to 1-2 on the year.

Freshman Doug Umbehauer (Shamong, N.J./Lenape) won a major decision for the Broncs. "I think Doug has shown that he can compete regionally and nationally for us this year," Taylor said. Umbehauer improves to 11-3 on the season.

Sophomore 197 T. J. Morrison (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) won to cut the lead to 23-13. ""T. J. is still improving on a weekly basis, making good adjustments," said Taylor. "He’s working real hard." Morrison is now 12-3 overall this year.

Freshman Mike Kessler (Randallstown, Md./Owings Mills) won at 149 to get Rider on the board. Kessler was a four-time Maryland State Place winner, wining the 152 pound title as a senior, and is the younger brother of former Bronc and conference champion Gregg Kessler. "Mike is very competitive, very talented, and was the most outstanding wrestler at the Maryland State Championships last year," Taylor said. "The future looks bright for Mike."

Junior Ryan Cunningham (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) won to cut the lead to 12-6. Cunningham was a Freshman All-American in 2004, and won three bouts at the CAA Championships last year.

Sophomore Ryan Smith (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted Falls) lost to the 11th ranked 125 in the nation.

Rider wrestles at Drexel Tuesday in the first Colonial Athletic Association dual meet of the season.
