Rider’s Umbehauer CAA Rookie of Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Doug Umbehauer of Rider University was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, for all competition December 20-January 2.

Umbehauer, a freshman from Shamong, N.J. (Lenape) reached the quarter-finals of UNC-Greensboro’s Southern Scuffle by defeating Luke Hogle of Cornell 5-4 in the third round before losing to 13^th ranked Gabe Dretsch of Minnesota.  After a first round bye, Umbehauer defeated Darius Caldwell of The Citadel 4-2 in the second round.
