Rider’s Modrovs MAAC Swimmers of Week
LAWRENCEVILLE—Rider University’s Modrov siblings, junior Brandon and freshman Priscilla, have been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Swimmers of the Week, for all competition November 14-20.
Priscilla Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y.) posted wins in three individual events in a meet with the University of Delaware and La Salle University. She won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:54.88, and touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:08.65. She finished the day with a first-place victory in the 200-yard individual medley (1:55.93).
Brandon Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y.) won two individual events in a meet with the University of Delaware and La Salle University. He finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 9:53.28, and the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:09.89.
Brandon’s award marked the fourth time this season a member of the Rider team was named the MAAC male swimmer of the week. Priscilla is the second member of Rider’s team to earn the female swimmer of the week award this year.
The Broncs return to the water December 2-4 at the Rutgers Invitational.
