PHILADELPHIA, PA—Led by the Modrov siblings, the Broncs split their meet with La Salle and Delaware Saturday, with the men defeating Delaware and the women defeating La Salle.

For the Rider women (2-4) freshman sensation Priscilla Modrov (Smithtown, NY/Hauppauge) won the 200 free (1:54.88), the 200 backstroke (2:08.65) and the 200 individual medley (1:55.93). “Priscilla is a tremendous addition to this team,” said Rider head coach Steve Fletcher.  “She is already among the top swimmers in the MAAC, and there is a great deal of room for improvement. It is going to be very interesting to see her develop over the next several years.”

For the Rider men (4-2), junior Brandon Modrov (Smithtown, NY/Hauppauge) won the 1,000 free (9:53.28) and the 200 breaststroke (2:09.89). “Brandon’s versatility makes us a better team,” said Fletcher.

Freshman Josh Rosenbluth (Lawrenceville/Lawrence), twice the MAAC Swimmer of the Week this season, won the 200 backstroke (1:57.48) and senior Dan Burgess (Greeley, CO/Union Colony Prep), who also won the MAAC Swimmer of the Week award this year, won the 200 free (1:43.79).

Also for the women, junior Lauren Urbanski (Lansdowne, Pa./Upper Darby) won the 200 butterfly (2:08.19)

Rider swims again at the Rutgers Invitational December 2-4.
