Riverso, Juska Honored by MAAC
Six Broncs All-Academic
FAIRIFELD, CT—Eight members of the Rider University men’s soccer team were honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at the championship banquet Thursday evening.
Junior Dan Riverso (Williamstown) was named to the Second Team All-MAAC, and freshman Mike Juska (Wall) was named to the MAAC All-Rookie team.
Named to the MAAC All-Academic team from Rider were junior Graham Arnold (Hershey, PA/Hershey), junior Adam Bailey (Southampton, PA/Archbishop Wood), sophomore Mike Colozzi (Shillington, PA/Gov. Mifflin), junior Tim Jones (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley), sophomore Trevor Singer (Phoenixville, PA/Owen J. Roberts), and sophomore Lee Tomasso (Westfield, NJ/Westfield).
Riverso started all 18 games in the Rider goal this season and led the MAAC with 113 saves. Riverso compiled four shutouts, second highest in the MAAC. He had a save percentage of .774 and a goals against average of 1.81.
Juska played in all 18 games, starting 15, and was second on the Rider team in goals (3) and third in points (6).
The Broncs placed sixth in the MAAC this season.
