Women: Mount St. Mary's University 5, Rider University 2

EMMITSBURG, MD—The Broncs were swept at Mount St. Mary’s Sunday. “With two matches left the scores were 3-2 for both the men and the women, so it was very close and could have gone either way,” said Rider head coach Ed Torres.

For the Rider women, junior Caitlin Crawbuck (Jacobstown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) won at third singles and first doubles. “The women just got eked out,” said Torres.

For the Rider men, junior Ragdee Saberon (Berlin, N.J./Overbrook) won at both first singles and first doubles. “With three matches left the men needed to win two and we lost all three,” said Torres.

The Rider men play at Fairleigh Dickinson Wednesday. The men and women host Drexel Saturday.

“There was a big crowd on hand, with a lot of Rider parents in attendance,” said Torres. “We have good fans. The match could have gone either way, but today it went their way. On another day, who knows?”
