Women: Rider University 6, Saint Peter’s College 1
Men: Saint Peter’s College 4, Rider University 3

JERSEY CITY—After a long day of indoor tennis, there was a long drive home from Jersey City to Lawrenceville. For Rider University freshman Danielle Morse (Edison, N.J./Hopewell Valley), the commute wasn’t bad. She’s used to it.  Morse, who won at fourth singles in three sets and also won at third doubles, commuted 40 minutes a day to Hopewell Valley High School, and currently commutes 30 minutes a day to Rider.

“I never minded the commute, either to high school or to Rider,” said Morse.  “My mother teaches at Hopewell, so that is why I went there. At Rider the commute is tough sometimes when there is something going on late at school, but the advantages of having home cooked meals out-weights the disadvantages.”

“Danielle is going to be a good player for us for a long time,” said Rider head coach Ed Torres.  “She hits the ball hard, really pounds the forehand.  She’s athletic and is a good hitter.”  “I try to go for winners whenever I get the opportunity,” said Morse

The Broncs split a match at Saint Peter’s Saturday, with the women winning and the men losing. “The guys had a tough match that went down to the wire,” said Torres. “It was very close, a very good match.”  For the Rider men, sophomore Jim Leone (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Township) won at fifth singles and third doubles.

For the Rider women, twin sisters Devin and Caitlin Crawbuck (Jacobstown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) won in singles (second and third) and first doubles, and senior Logan Kapinus (Ashton, PA/Sun Valley) won at fifth singles and third doubles.

The Rider women commute to Manhattan Sunday.
