Rider’s Clatch Honored by MAAC

LAWRENCEVILLE—Rider University senior Rebecca Clatch was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performer of the Week for all competition January 8-14.

Clatch (Drums, PA/Hazelton Area) tied the Rider record in the pole vault at the Penn State Relays with a height of 10’6” (3.20m).

Last winter Clatch placed sixth at the MAAC indoor championships with a vault of 9’0.25”.  Last spring Clatch placed fourth in the MAAC Championships in the pole vault (3.0m).

An outstanding athlete, Clatch is also a two-time MAAC champion in the javelin during the outdoor season.

The track & field teams compete at the Gotham Cup Friday evening at the New York City Armory.
