Against Fairfield junior Mandy Hunter (Plainsboro/West Windsor Plainsboro-North) scored off an assist from freshman Allison Vogel (Oceanport, N.J./Shore Regional) with less than 15 minutes remaining in the game, breaking a scoreless tie. For Hunter it was her second career goal. Junior Tricia Crotty (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) scored her team leading eighth goal of the season with nine minutes left for the final score. For Crotty it was the 30th goal of her career. Senior goalie Jen LoCastro (Cherry Hill/Camden Catholic) played the first 66 minutes with sophomore Lyndsie Johnson (Gibbsboro/Eastern) playing the final four minutes as Rider recorded the shutout. Each goalie made one save as Rider out-shot the Stags 11-4.

At the MAAC Championships junior Kelly Wojciehowski (Fair Haven/Rumson Fair Haven) placed first for the Broncs, 13th overall, covering the 6k race in 23:26.2 to earn All-MAAC honors. The top 15 finishers earn All-MAAC honors. For the Rider men, senior John Smith (Cliffwood Beach/Matawan) placed first for the Broncs, 14th overall, covering the 8k course in 26:07.8. It marked the third time Smith earned All-MAAC honors. Also for the Rider men, freshman Christian Gonzalez (Somerset/Franklin Twp.) placed 16th in 26:14.4 and junior Matt Dahl (West Keansburg/Raritan) was 18th in 26:42.3. Senior Jeff Stead (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) placed 25th (27:08.1) and freshman Christopher Reale (Princeton Junction/West Windsor Plainsboro South) was 30th (27:17.1). Also for the Rider women, sophomore Kelsey Kohler (Southampton, PA/Saint Basil’s Academy) was 27th (24:28.4), junior Megan Crowe (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert’s) was 37th (24:59.6), sophomore Lauren Lester (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) was 40th (25:08.5) and freshman Chelsea Callan (Hazlet/Raritan) was 42nd (25:12.0).

Against Siena on senior day Rider got on the board with just 14 minutes left to play, as senior Stephanie Madden (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven Regional) sent in a pass to sophomore Alison Brody (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac), who scored her third goal of the season, cutting the lead to 2-1.Siena scored in the ninth minute of play and again in the 26th minute to take a 2-0 lead into half time. Siena out-shot Rider 11-8. Freshman goalkeeper Alex Post (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks West) made four saves for Rider.

At Rutgers sophomore Kellyanne Tomasula (Sussex/Vernon Township) won the 100 back (57.55) with junior Prisilla Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) winning the 200 butterfly (2:05.13). Modrov also placed third in the 400 IM (4:34.18). Junior diver Amanda Burke (Churchville, Pa./William Tennent) won the one-meter (260.35) and placed second on the three-meter (243.60). Senior diver Dylan Korn (Hawthorne, N.Y./Westlake) won the one-meter (272.40) and the three-meter (227.75) with junior Josh Rosenbluth (Lawrenceville/Lawrence) winning the 100 back (51.61) and 200 back (1:52.41). Freshman Drew Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) won the 100 free (48.34) and placed second in the 50 free (21.49). The men’s 200 free relay of Modrov, sophomore Brian Brady (Turnersville, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) Rosenbluth and senior Peter Starr (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area Senior) won with a time of 1:26.89.

Against Canisius senior Katrina Stehle (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) compiled 16 digs and 11 kills with a .265 attack percentage. Stehle also added three service aces. freshman Katelyn Thompson (Tucson, Ariz./Catalina Foothills) had 15 kills with junior Lacey Johnson (Aurora, Colo./Grandview) chipping in with 18 digs. Freshman Elyse Grassmuck (Seguin, Texas/La Vernia) had 31 assists and 10 digs for the Broncs. Against Niagara Stehle led the Broncs with 13 digs with freshman Amanda Piccolini (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) adding 14 assists.

At Manhattan freshman Jim Bradley (Sewell./Washington Township) and freshman Tom Dunn (Westampton./Rancocas Valley) scored. Junior goalkeeper Randall Zapolski (Lawrence) made five saves. At Saint Peter’s junior AJ Parillo (South River) took a pass from senior Lee Tomasso (Westfield) and scored to give Rider a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Kevin Juska (Wall) scored mid-way through the second half to give Rider a 3-2 lead. Parillo assisted on Juska’s goal.

At Saint Peter’s junior Casey Jedlinski (Manalapan) posted a 6-3, 7-5 win at first singles and sophomore Will Haight (Turnersville/Washington Township) won at third singles 7-5, 7-5. Against Saint Francis Jedlinski won at first singles and teamed with freshman Josh Rultenberg (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) to win at first doubles. Rultenberg won at second singles. Sophomore Marc Ashed (Vineland) won at fourth singles and teamed with Will Haight to win at second doubles.

Senior Tyler Brewington (Orangeville, Pa./Benton) made par on the second playoff hole to win the Mount. Brewington shot a 143 for the two-day tournament, Freshman Brent Wolgast (Bay City, Mich./Pendleton) shot a 155 to tie for 29th. Sophomore Kevin Krecicki (Hamilton/Nottingham) and freshman Brian Accorsini (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) each totaled 157 for 37th. Junior Eric LeFante (Colts Neck) shot a 164, finishing 58th.
