Rider Swimmer Honored by MAAC

LAWRENCEVILLE—Junior Josh Rosenbluth (Lawrenceville/Lawrence) of the Rider University Swimming & Diving team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week for all competition October 22-28. “It is good to see Josh be recognized by the conference for his performance,” said Rider head coach Steve Fletcher.

In a meet with Seton Hall, Rosenbluth won the 100 backstroke (51.61) and the 200 backstroke (1:52.41) and swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay that finished in 1:26.89.  All three finishes are top times in the MAAC this season.

“Josh has been injured and he was pretty excited to compete last week in his first meet of the season,” Fletcher said. “For his first meet his times were pretty impressive.”

Rosenbluth is the defending MAAC champion in the 100 backstroke. As a freshman he won both the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke at the MAAC Championships.
