Rider’s Bradley MAAC Rookie of Week

LAWRENCEVILLE—Rider University freshman Jim Bradley was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Soccer Rookie of the Week for all games played September 10-16. “Winning the award feels pretty good,” said Bradley.

Bradley (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) scored his first two collegiate goals in a pair of Rider wins last week. “Winning the games is what is important,” Bradley said. “I’m sure if we hadn’t won twice I would not have gotten the award.”

Bradley scored the game-winning goal in the closing moments of a 2-1 Rider win at Philadelphia U. on Wednesday. On Saturday Bradley scored with just 42 seconds remaining to seal the 2-0 victory at Saint Joseph's.

“We’re starting to click,” Bradley said.

Rider (2-3) plays the home opener Tuesday against Bucknell.
