Rider’s Brewington at 107th U.S. Amateur
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—Rider senior Tyler Brewington (Orangeville, Pa./Benton) shot an eight over par 78 in round one and a four over par 74 in the second round, missing the cut by five shots at the 107th United States Amateur Championship August 21-22, held at the Olympic Club in California.
Brewington finished 144th out of 312 golfers.
On Tuesday, Brewington had two birdies and seven pars on the 6,929 yard, par 70 Lakeside Course and had one birdie and 12 pars at the 6,786 yard, par 70 Ocean Course Wednesday morning.
Brewington recently shot a 146 (74-72) at the PGA Nationwide Tour event in Scranton, Pa., August 8-10.
Brewington, a three-time All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference honoree, and the Broncs open the 2007 fall season at the Colgate Invitational September 8-9.
