The Broncs competed in the NYC Gotham Cup Friday night, held at the 168th Street Armory. “They went out and competed after three weeks of two-a-days,” said Rider head coach Rob Pasquariello, “and probably did as well as they could have in this stage of our training. There were over 50 teams here and that makes it tough. Events take so long and some athletes are warming up for an hour waiting for their event, so that makes it tough to have quality performances.” |

The Broncs competed at the Penn State Relays Saturday. “It was a good meet for our first time back in competition,” said Rider head coach Rob Pasquariello. “It was a much deeper meet across the board than last year, as far as more teams, more talent, more interest, and it gave our kids a real chance to see where they are at, going against some of the top schools in the East. It was a great atmosphere for a collegiate meet, nice facility, there was a good crowd and I think for the most part our kids responded.” |

The Rider University men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams opened the 2007-08 season competing at the Princeton New Year's Invitational Saturday at Jadwin Gym. “I thought we got some things accomplished that we set out to do, including getting a good look at our younger athletes,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello. “Our goal was to see how competitive we are. It is much different competing in practice and competing in an actual meet. You never know where you stand until you compete against other schools.” |
