Rider’s Brewington Fires 72 on Day Two
at PGA Nationwide Tour Event

SCRANTON, Pa.—Despite shooting only one-over par, Rider University senior Tyler Brewington (Orangeville, Pa./Benton), missed the cut at the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic on the PGA Nationwide Tour in Scranton Friday. 

Brewington finished four-over par overall, six shots over the cut line of two-under par.  Brewington placed 117th place of 156 golfers with a two-round score of 146.

Brewington, a three-time All-Metro Atlantic Athletic honoree entered the tournament on a sponsor’s exemption.

In the opening round, Brewington shot one-under par over the final nine holes, carding a 74 on the day.

Overall, Brewington shot 27 pars and four birdies in the tournament.

Brewington travels to San Francisco, California for the 107th United States Amateur Tournament, August 20-26.
