Dan Riverso, a 2007 graduate of Rider, returns to his alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach to work with the goal keepers. While at Rider Riverso twice earned All-MAAC honors. As a senior in 2006 Riverso led the MAAC in saves and was third in the conference in shutouts. He compiled a shutout in his final collegiate game, a MAAC win over Manhattan, to graduate with 10 career shutouts.
As a senior Riverso was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. As a junior Riverso led the MAAC in saves and won the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week award. Riverso was second in the MAAC in saves as a sophomore in 2004, and also won the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week award that year.
Riverso came to Rider from Williamstown (NJ) High School. As a Rider rookie Riverso played in six games and owned the best goals against average and save percentage on the team.
