Named Rider's top track performer for the beginning of the "modern era" (1970-1975). Set Rider indoor records for 50 yard high hurdles (6.3-1973), 60 yard high hurdles (7.4-1974), 70 yard high hurdles (8.7-1973), long jump (22'1"-1972), and ran the first leg of the record-setting shuttle hurdles relay in 1972.

In spring track, he set Rider records in the 100 yards (10.0-1971), 220 (22.8-1972), 120 high hurdles (14.3-1973), 440 intermediate hurdles (55.0-1973), long jump (23'4.25"-1973) and decathlon (6,509 pts-1971). He ran on the record setting 440-relay in 1972. His teams placed:

1971: 13th place MAC

1972: 11th place MAC, 5th place NJ

1973: 10th place MAC, 7th place NJ

1974: 13th place MAC, 6th place NJ
