Expected to be a starter and a key part of the Broncs pitching core…red-shirted the 2006 season while recovering from “Tommy John” surgery…started all three of his appearances last year before the injury…in his rookie year he won his last four starts of the season, defeating MAAC foes Fairfield, Le Moyne, Niagara and Saint Peter’s…tied for the team lead in games started that year…led the 2005 Bronc staff in innings pitched and was second on the team in strikeouts…was third on the team in opponents’ batting average as a freshman, fourth on the squad in earned run average…struck out 20 batters looking, most among Bronc pitchers in the 2005 season…was 4-3 against MAAC teams as a freshman…struck out seven Canisius batters in less than seven innings, while allowing just three hits in 2005…struck out seven Niagara batters in eight innings in the 2005 season…earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors the final week of the 2005 season…at Salisbury earned All-Colonial League honors as a junior outfielder and again as a senior pitcher…led his team to the District II championships as a senior…also golfed and played basketball in high school, helping the basketball team win the Colonial League as a sophomore.
