Lucy Sech

Lucy Sech began working for Rider University in 1980 and since that time has held secretarial positions in a number of departments including the Moore Library, Department of Annual Giving and College of Continuing Studies.
After several years at the university, Sech transferred to the department of athletics in 1993 and was initially hired to provide secretarial support to the sports information director. After ten months in that position, she was named the administrative secretary to the director of athletics. In 2003, Sech was appointed to her current position as manager of athletics business operations. As part of this role, Sech oversees all financial, personnel and team travel matters for the department of athletics. Her primary responsibility includes developing, planning, reconciling and monitoring the annual departmental budget of approximately $1.5 million. In addition, Sech coordinates all contracts and payment for game officials, event staff and part-time employees and maintains the insurance and registration for all departmental vehicles.
A resident of New Egypt, New Jersey, Sech enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, Ryan and KJ.
